Interested in joining our board?
We're growing The STEAMery's board of directors as we take on real capital work. We're looking for people with strong, independent judgment - legal, financial, real estate, or nonprofit governance experience is a plus, but a genuine stake in Brown County and good judgment matter just as much.
What it involves
Board terms run two years, renewable. Meetings happen roughly quarterly, about two hours each, and video is fine if that's easier than driving in. Beyond that, it's as much as you want to make it: some board members join a committee and put in a few hours a month, others show up for meetings and stay reachable in between. We don't require a financial gift to serve. Many board members choose to give personally, and we welcome it, but it is not currently a condition of joining.
